(That’s Me, Looking Ahead)
Here are just a few verses to help us all think about what we might do better in the New Year.  I try not to do New Year’s Resolutions, as I’ve never been good at keeping them.  However, I do try to take stock in myself, my work and how I want things to go, with God’s help, every new year.  So, this time ,I am sharing with you what I have found to be some helpful  verses, and I hope and pray that they will lend a hand to  you as you seek the Lord’s will for your life in 2013.

Isaiah 43:18&19:   “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Jeremiah 29:11:  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Ecclesiastes 3:12-8:  There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:  A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

2 Corinthians 5:17:  “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Romans 12:1&2: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.  Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Hebrews 5:13&14:  “For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Philippians 3:13-16:  “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Revelation 3:11&12:  I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown.  He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.

1 John 3:16-18:  This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.  If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?   Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

Proverbs 16:1-3:  “To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.  All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.  Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

Psalms 20:1-4:  May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.  May He send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.  May He remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. "Selah"  May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

I trust that these might assist you and get you thinking about your plans and His plans for you in 2013.  I know that I must consider the Lord in all my course of action, every day and every step of the way. I ask that He will guide me and provide for me all that I need to make sure this is the best year ever and for the ministry here in Mexico and also for each of you, my friends and mission partners.  God Bless You All.

Anti-theists or God-haters and Jesus-Rejectors

Prominent atheist, Richard Dawkins, in his book, The God Delusion, implies that God is a brainless dolt because the Lord places limitations on such sexual exploits as adultery, rape, incest, prostitution, bestiality, and sodomy.  Basically indicating that, God is an outer space party pooper who is trying to keep something of enjoyably high-quality from us humans.  Okay, here is a important question for all atheists to answer, since there are more than just a few God-haters and dyed-in-the-wool anti-God evolutionists that would like there to be no sexual restrictions at all placed on human behavior, would removing all limitations on any form of sexual activity provide a better world for us than the one we already live in?  Many people claim that denying man total access to any and all sexual appetites is poor planning on God's side.  Claiming, that if God really did exist then He would never refuse us involvement in rape, bestiality or even, for that matter, 'snuf-films.'  Do you agree with this atheist and the others of his ilk that mildly, strongly or extremely promote this type of idea?

Most atheistic ideas submitted to me are usually lame.  So, atheists, do not answer if you don’t have a brain.
Thank you.  And, God Bless US, One and All.  The Lord is Good.

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away," Matthew 24:35.

Even though our Christmas Celebration this year was a lot more humble than in past years, nevertheless, souls were warmed on Christmas Day.  About a hundred and fifty expectant children and eager adults gathered at the Rancho Santa Fe Mexico Mission Church of El Camino Agape de San Vicente.  And, let me assure you that even though humble, the celebration abounded with the spirit of Christian love and pleasurable gift giving, which brought Christmas Cheer to many, many little hearts.

We sang songs and prayed and wished each other a very Merry Christmas or Feliz Navidad and then did some handicrafts, passed out gifts and had a generally jubilant time as we celebrated Christmas Day.  None of these children were asking for a lot for Christmas and were truly thankful for any gift that they got.  The majority of the poor children here wouldn’t have had any gift if it wasn’t for these that were sent down to give away to the poor.  The boys and girls that came to our special Christmas Day service went home very well pleased with everything.

I want anyone who donated a gift to know that here we all really appreciate your giving.  You brought so many smiles and so much laughter to the lives of these children and I know they would hug and kiss you, if they could.

Warm souls, happy hearts and ecstatic children are what make for a good Christmas Celebration.
The spirit of giving was truly seen in our Christmas Day Celebration.

God Bless You, One and All!

“And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him.  Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.”

Matthew 10:42

“And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

Sad Comment On Those That Thought The World Would End On 12/21/12

To me, a kook is someone with a weird, fanatical or collectively objectionable confidence or mania which fogs their entire reality.  I also like the words, half-baked and oddball which are often used interchangeably with the word, title or moniker of kook.  Though these last stipulations have a stronger unconstructive stain than the word kook, but they all, in my mind, apply to any pseudo-scientist, such as, Zecharia Sitchin.  He is only one of many types of kooks, which also include pious activists, unsophisticated philosophers and all mythology.  Listen to this for an example of kook credentials, ever heard of Anglo-Israelism?  It’s the very mistaken proposal that the Anglo-Saxons are true descendants of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel.  Not even possible.  Then there are the multiple UFO faiths, like the Raelian Church and Unarius, with these positive and munificent Space Brothers who are looked upon as the rescuers of us lowly earth-dwellers.  What about the stupid hollow earth beliefs?  The list of kooks, oddities and eccentrics just goes on and on.  Of course, once you’ve rejected the truth, you are open to believe anything that comes along in connection with human origins.  For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,” 2 Timothy 4:3.

My pet kooky idea on human origins is the fantastical brainstorm that we humans are the end result of this incredible interbreeding program, where interfering aliens did some trialing on lower creatures.  In some adaptations we are a fusion between primates and Martians.  In other tales, we’ve been hereditarily fabricated, by these visitors from Jupiter who took a little piece of themselves and sewed it together with some toe-jam from some earthy chimpanzee.  Why would they ever want to do such a thing, is just beyond me.

The thing that enthralls me about this is how these kooks always want to combine their insane scheme with the account of Creation from the Bible, integrating it with their pseudo-science.  The kooky writers of these volumes always categorically state that they alone, at the end of the day, found the midpoint between creationism and evolution, or if you’d like, the halfway point between religion and science.  They do this because they know that evolution doesn’t provide any real answers.  So, they think up these yarns hoping against hope to provide a more sagacious, more toothsome way to explain the cosmos, the earth and how it is that man has arrived to dominate the scene on planet earth.  Of course, by their doing this they make themselves preachers of anti-Darwinian notions.

I guess this one guy must have watched a movie or two on the SyFy Channel, but there’s this man, David Barclay, who believes that massive-brained and brilliantly-gifted dinosaurs actually produced humans, and played with us as if we were their house-pets.  Can you believe that?  Oh, I know that there are those out there that do.  For goodness’ sake, what stupid, silly and dim-witted discharge won’t they come up with next?

“The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good,” Psalm 14:1.

“Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools,” Romans 1:22.
